People Data Analyst

At Journey, we use data-driven insights to understand and improve complex internal and external people processes like interviews, hiring, manager effectiveness, compensation, employee retention, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion. The People Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting teams throughout the company by developing reports and analytical tools, as well as collaborating on programs and projects that touch all Journey employees.

You will:

  • Develop standardized metrics, dashboards, and reports using internal employee data
  • Establish processes and documentation to ensure People data quality
  • Serve as front-line support for ad hoc report requests
  • Assist with design and implementation of internal employee surveys
  • Clearly communicate insights to key stakeholders and influence teams to take action based on your recommendations
  • Act as an advocate of data driven culture on the People Team and across Journey

You have:  

  • BA/BS degree, with emphasis in a quantitative or social science field preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in a business, people, or other relevant analyst role
  • Analytical thinking style with a love of solving problems, building things and telling compelling stories using data
  • Great attention to detail; fanatical about delivering highest level of quality in reports and data analysis
  • Highly flexible attitude; ability to proactively define problems and manage projects efficiently in a fast-­paced, rapidly evolving organization under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights and communicate results to audiences at all levels of technical expertise
  • Passion for creating beautiful, intuitive data visualizations
  • Strong quantitative skills and confidence with analytical tools – Excel / Google Sheets are a minimum; R, SPSS, SQL, Python, etc. are a plus
  • Strong Keynote / PPT skills
